You gotta love the city!!!! My daughter was turning 14 and has never been to the Big Apple. So my fabulous hubby surprised us (for her bday and mine), with a 3 day trip to the city. We met my sister in-law and my niece there at the airport. For the multiple times that I have visited NYC, you never quite tire of its character.
The history, architecture, graffiti, lights, bling, filth, arts, The Cathedral, FAO Schwarz, population of people, Time Square, street vendors, Central Park, Little Italy, China Town, Soho, Financial District, outdoor market, the ever famous ‘Serendipity’ (where we had bday dessert for lunch), 5th Avenue, shopping, walking, eating, more walking, jammed on the subway, the constant beeping of taxi’s………..and does all that beeping really do anything to move the traffic along? And we cannot forget The Phantom of the Opera!!!!! One of the best Broadway performances I have ever seen.
My daughter shopped her little hiney off……and loved every minute of it. She did not want to leave, but reality was calling us back to Colorado!
